Published: 10/04/2022

-Donations are needed to support blood centers impacted in Florida and the Southeast-

Town of Wallkill, NY:  New York Blood Center (NYBC), one of the largest independent, community-based blood centers in the world, will host a blood drive on Thursday, October 6 at Galleria at Crystal Run to help meet a need for blood donations in the region and throughout the country. The NYBC will be located on the lower level in front of JC Penney making it easier for shoppers to conveniently give the gift of life while shopping. Guests are encouraged to make an appointment online or by calling 800-933-2566.

  • WHERE: Lower Level in front of JC Penney, 1 Galleria Drive, Middletown, NY 10941
  • WHEN: Thursday, October 6 from 11AM-5PM
  • WHO: Blood Donors, Volunteers, and New York Blood Center Representatives
  • WHY: New York Blood Center (NYBC) is calling on New Yorkers to donate blood amid a catastrophic hurricane hitting the coast of Florida. Donations are needed locally and in anticipation of humanitarian efforts that will be necessary to support our southern neighbors. These donations are essential to maintaining a stable supply of blood and platelets in impacted regions, which can help save lives and ensure patient needs continue to be met throughout this difficult time.

“New Yorkers always step up for each other and now we must help Florida and the Southeast, a region that desperately needs our support,” said Andrea Cefarelli, Senior Vice President at New York Blood Center. “Now is a critical time to help those in need by making a blood donation, it’s easy and only takes one hour. This is a dire situation and every donation counts.”

“The Galleria at Crystal Run is proud to continue their ongoing partnership with the New York Blood Center to help our community, as well as the Southeast region during this time of need,” said Eric Price, General Manager at Galleria at Crystal Run. “Thank you to everyone who has made an appointment for the upcoming Blood Drive.”
