Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team in a fast-paced café environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and customer service, ensuring that each sandwich is crafted to perfection while providing an exceptional dining experience. This role requires strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a team setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications and food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food preparation area, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS system for order processing and cash handling.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Assist with coffee preparation and barista duties as needed, showcasing knowledge of coffee products.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Perform basic math calculations for order accuracy and inventory management.
- Adhere to food handling guidelines to maintain quality and safety of all food products.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or Micros POS systems is a plus.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and food preparation techniques.
- Experience in serving, cashiering, or retail math is advantageous.
